This is a pre WW2 all solid Czech archtop built in the German/ Czech town of Schönbach, now Luby. Schönbach was the cradle of European archtop lutherie and violin making , with guitars built as 'Gibson' style from the 1920s onwards
This looks like a guitar made by Karl Höfner, though I am not 100% sure.
Slotted headstock. All solid carve spruce top, solid carved maple back. Very thin wood, made in violin style. The guitar is very loud and responds to strong attack in playing for band work.
Very good player. All original. Solid back has slight shrinkage, hence the sides overlap at bottom bass end a bit -very common in all solid German archtops.
A real piece of European heritage
